Wealdon District Council has many properties that are not on mains gas and are heated by direct electric. Direct electric heating is an expensive and inefficient way to heat homes. This prompted Wealdon DC to trial a number of ‘renewable’ technologies to find a suitable alternative to refurbish the heating systems in their existing housing stock, following which they selected the Daikin Altherma split system heat pump supplied by Space Air.
